Parish News July

I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Father Michael Hennelly. Father Hennlley was the Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Oxford, PA. He joins the parish as a resident priest as he takes on the assignment of Assistant to the Vicar for Clergy.

Fr. Taglianetti’s status has changed slightly. He is now 100% here at St. Bridget’s as the parochial administrator, and will be an adjunct professor of moral theology at the seminary in the Fall.

The parish began a search for a new Music Director this past January. The coronavirus shutdown made the transition to a new music director difficult. The candidate we extended an offer to did not accept. We will resume the search for a new music director during the summer months. Bill Riechers has agreed to temporarily remain the acting Music Director. We anticipate he may be the Music Director until year end depending on the progress of the search. Thank you, Bill and Emily, for your generous and excellent service to St. Bridget parish.

The Finance Committee and Fr. Taglianetti are discussing updates to St. Bridget Church after an engineering analysis and mold analysis that took place this past year. We hope to give you more information in the Fall.

St Bridget is now using Flocknote to communicate with the parish. The will allow various ministries to communicate with one another and also the pastor to send an email to everyone signed up for Flocknote at St. Bridget parish. This will help with parish communication. Please signup through Saint Bridget Facebook Page or Website.

We will resume the 11am Mass at the beginning of August. Once we resume the 11am Mass we could use volunteers to sanitize the Church after the 11am Mass.

Live streaming will continue for 8am Daily Mass and 9am Sunday Mass

Thank you for the weekly collection. It has helped with operating costs and salaries. Please consider Online Giving which you can access via St. Bridget’s website.
