Holy Thursday Night  7 pm Mass

We remember how Jesus washed the feet of his Apostles at the Last Supper. Would you and/or your family be willing to participate in this special part of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.

Understanding Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease and Living with Its Challenges

This topic will be explored at a workshop at Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, 1939 W. Venango Street, 19140, on Sat., March 12 from 8:30AM until Noon.   This workshop will feature two main speakers, Dr. Cherian Verghese, MD and Rev. Barbara Jones, MSW who will share their extensive knowledge and personal experience in the field of cognitive impairment.  There will be opportunity to learn, ask questions, share experiences, gain understanding, and discover valuable resources.  Light refreshments will be available.  The event is free to attend.  Contributions will be welcome.  Free parking is available on the street and in From the Heart Ministries parking lot adjacent to Mercy Neighborhood Ministries on 20th street.  WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  Caregivers, friends, family of those affected by cognitive impairment and anyone interested in learning about a disease that affects so many—either directly or indirectly.

Meet and Greet, Saturday, December 5, 2015
The Hospitality Committee is sponsoring a monthly “meet and greet” in the rectory  on the first weekend of each month.
This month’s time will be on Saturday, December 5, 2015, after the 4 pm Mass. This is being hosted by the Saturday, sandwich makers group.  Come and spend some time with our parishioners.


Family Retreat Sunday, December 6, 2015
The Marianist family retreat team will present a special family day event entitled,
“Called to be Heralds” on Sunday, December 6, 2015from after the 11 am Mass to 2:30 pm. in church.
This is designed for families of all ages and includes prayer, skits, family, and peer activities. What a
wonderful way to celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas! Donation is $10 per family to cover the cost of the materials.

November Events

Story night Friday, November 20, 2015
Story night will take place, Friday, November 20, from 6:30 to 8 pm in St. Bridget Meeting Rooms. Night includes story, song, Scripture, craft anda treat.  All are welcome.
An Opportunity for Painting
All children, fifth grade and older, are invited to a painting time with Mrs. Clay, art teacher, on Friday night, November 20, from 6:30-8 pm. in St. Bridget Meeting Rooms.
Come and see what you can create.
Invitation to all University Students
All university students are invited to attend the 11 am Mass on Sunday, November 22 followed by “meet and greet” and refreshments in St. Bridget Rectory.  Please come to this opportunity to meet other students in our parish area before the holidays.

Saturday October 24 @4PM

 Saturday, October 24th at the 4:00 Mass

We will celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.  We pray this will be a support especially for our sick and elderly.  I hope that as may as possible of our shut-ins will be able to participate with the assistance of fellow parishioners.  Parish nurses are encouraged to attend this Mass for the comfort of our sick and elderly.

After the 4PM Mass: Parish Fall Festival 

Join us for games, crafts and TREATS!
Trick or Treat parade will take place at 5:30 PM.
Children are able to wear their Halloween costume to Mass for this event.
