The Anointing of the Sick, also known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a healing Sacrament of the Church. It is administered to those who are seriously ill, preparing for surgery, as well as those who are dying. It assures you of Jesus' grace and the support of the Church in your time of need. The Anointing of the Sick is administered regularly, so do not hesitate to ask a priest either in church or by calling the rectory.
- Please call the Rectory to arrange for a priest to administer the Sacrament of the Sick, or ask the priest when you go to Mass.
- If you are going to have surgery ask the priest for before entering the hospital.
- If you or your loved one is placed on hospice, do not wait. It is better to call the priest as soon as you can so that he has sufficient time to visit you and bring Christ's Sacrament to you.
- You are welcome to recieve Holy Communion and go to Confession as well. Please inform the priest before he visits if you or your loved one is able to receive Holy Communion.
