G. I. F. T. – Growing in Faith Together – St. Bridget Faith Formation Group

Mission:

• To grow in relationship with God
• Encourage people to discipleship at home, work, everyday lives
• Develop deeper understanding of Scripture, Sacraments and our Catholic Faith
• Participate in the life and ministries of St. Bridget parish and East Falls community

Structure:

Patron Saint – St. Bridget. Also soliciting intercession from the founders of St. Bridget parish, Father Mahon – first pastor, and Thomas Barry – first priest ordained from St. Bridget in 1867.

Liaison / Spiritual Guide – Sister Margaret Jude Sullivan

Core Group – Meets and prays together for the parish and the group. Reviews progress and gathers together programs, etc. to present to the Planning Committee.

Planning Committee – Helps to make decisions and facilitate the following:

• Small Groups
• Study Programs
• Guest Speakers
• Faith based activities to develop relationships / fellowship
• Faith based movie nights
• Intercessory prayer
• Retreats / days of recollection
• Resource center
