Snow and Ice equal disaster for Parish Finances

If you’re like me, you see the end of February as the right side of February, since it means we’re getting closer to the end of winter.  I like the change of seasons, but by the time we get to the end of February I’m ready for warm, brighter days; I’ve had enough of winter.
You’ll recall that snow and ice has arrived on weekends, preventing many people from attending Mass. That spells disaster for our Sunday collection.  The collection is down approximately, $5686.00.  Ole Man Winter with his snow and ice spells disaster for our parish finances.
While the collections are down, our expenses remain the same and, in some areas like snow and ice removal actually, increase.
I kindly ask everyone if you missed a weekend due to inclement weather to please make it up in the following weekend’s collection.  Your support, generosity and faithfulness mean a great deal.  I am very grateful.
