BRINGING SACRAMENTS TO THE HOMEBOUND
We received a call recently from a homebound parishioner in her late 80′s requesting that someone bring her Holy Communion because she hadn’t “received Holy Communion since last Easter.” Since last Easter? Isn’t that sad?! Of course we responded to her request right away. I have visited her, gave her the Anointing of the Sick and Holy Communion. An extra ordinary minister of Holy Communion has also been assigned to visit her and Sisters Pat and Dorothy have also added this wonderful lady to their list of parishioners to visit.
Request. Had we known about the situation of this woman who is no longer able to attend Mass due to advanced age, she would not have had to go that long without the sacraments and a visit from the parish. If you know of any homebound parishioner who is not currently receiving the sacraments, please do not hesitate to give us a call at the Rectory, 215-844-4126. Leave the information with Tom Veasy, the parish secretary, and Father Devlin will follow ASAP. Thank you.
It is time to start training new altar servers, if your child is entering 5th grade and would like to become an altar server please contact Sister Margaret @ 215-844-4126 ext. 103 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All children are welcome to serve our parish as altar servers if entering 5th grade or older.
