A people called To Know Jesus, To Love Jesus, To Serve Jesus.
Thank you parishioners of St. Bridget’s!
Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your kind words. Thank you for all the many expressions of “Thanks” & appreciation. I am very grateful to all of you, and for the blessing of being Pastor of this wonderful parish community. Please accept my gratitude for the many kindnesses showered upon me during my final days at St. Bridget’s.
Mother of Mercy House, A Mission of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia
801 – 803 E. Allegheny Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19134
Mother of Mercy House will be a new outreach mission to “one of the poorest zip codes in America” (as Sister Mary Scullion, RSM, of Project Home says).
Our mission is to enhance the presence of the Archdiocese in the Kensington & Allegheny (K & A) neighborhood by establishing small ecclesial communities (block churches) formed by Word & Sacrament; forming Lay Leaders; and by serving the neighborhood through the corporal works of mercy.
This new outreach mission is enflamed by Pope Francis’ theology which reminds us that our “loving God, poor among the poor, reserved for them a privileged place in Christ’s life and ministry.”
Thank you once again; I am very grateful.
Please know you have a place in my thoughts and prayers.
