Sacraments

Sacrament of Penance

This sacrament is celebrated every Saturday 3-3:45 PM or by appointment.

Sacrament of Marriage

Registered parishioner(s) must contact the Rectory to set up an appointment at least six months in advance to arrange a marriage.

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick is administered regularly. If you are going to have surgery it is advisable to ask for the Sacrament after a Mass you attend before entering the hospital. Please call the Rectory to arrange this.

Sacrament of Baptism

Parents are asked to please contact the Rectory to schedule a baptism for their child. Baptisms are ordinarily celebrated at 12 noon on the third Sunday of the month. Pre-Jordan instructions are required and are held on the second Sunday of the month in the St. Bridget meeting room.

Letter of Eligibility to be a Sponsor (God Parent)

A letter of eligibility is asking me to sign (certify) that a person is a practicing catholic who is fully initiated and is at least 16 years of age.  A practicing catholic is someone who attends Sunday Mass weekly, lives the catholic faith, associates with the Church, and is not someone who sees themselves as “spiritual but not religious,” as is popular today.

If you have been away from the practice of your Catholic faith, have not been attending Mass weekly, nor associating with our parish, please know that you are always welcome to come home to the Church.  We welcome you with open arms.  I will only put my signature to a form that says you are a practicing Catholic when that is true.  Therefore the parish policy is that you must be a registered, participating parishioner who attends Sunday Mass weekly (and not just occasionally) for at least six months before I will sign a Sponsor Letter of Eligibility.
