LIVING FAITH AWARDS COMMITEE
The Living Faith Awards Ceremony and Parish Social was held on Saturday November 9th. The Parish Social, held at Whitemarsh Country Club, was a smashing success with a wonderful dinner and great dancing music provided by the band, 2nd Vision. Fr. Devlin presented the awards to Stephen and Melora Jones, Dan and Lori Mastrobuono, Tina Kistler, and Zoe Singer to honor them for living their faith on a daily basis and being role models for the community.
As you can see by the pictures everyone who attended the social had a great time and enjoyed themselves
PRAYER SHAWL COMMITTEE
The group continues to knit/crochet prayer shawls and lap blankets for people who are sick, mourning, or anyone undergoing a life changing event.
We are currently also making infant, child and adult sized hats for the Angel tree in Advent. We meet monthly in St. Brendan’s meeting rooms.
If you would like to request a prayer shawl to be made, or to join the group contact Jen Markgraf at 267-495-7327 or email@example.com
This year we helped 25 families with very generous donations from St. Bridget parishioners providing groceries, monetary donations and gift cards. The generosity of time, talent and kindness of the volunteers who assembled and delivered the Thanksgiving bags made this a successful year.
Thank you to Rosemarie DiStefano for leading this outreach.
A visual of how generous our parishioners are can be found here:
ADVENT ANGEL TREE COMMITTEE
This year the committee will be organizing an outreach to help 16 families give their children a memorable Christmas. Our parishioners will take a tag from the Advent Trees and buy a gift for a family. Please return the gifts with tags by December 8th. Thank you for your generosity. So many of our parishioners are providing for others this Advent season.
The 2nd Annual Parish Fall Festival was a well-attended event. The children had a great time and received lots of treats. Our parishioners supplied the treats and many volunteers offered their time to make the evening a great time. Here are some pictures from the event:
SISTER MARGARET’S GOLDEN JUBILEE
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Sister Margaret being a Sister of Saint Joseph. Parishioners gathered to honor her and thank her for everything she does for Saint Bridget Parish.
