A people called To Know Jesus, To Love Jesus, To Serve Jesus.
You may have noticed two, new, oriental, carpets on either side of the Baptismal Font which match the two larger carpets in the back of Church (by the side door) and underneath the electric piano. These carpets were purchased with the money in the Memorial Fund. Each carpet costs $2,500.
We also were able to purchase new, white, altar cloths for the top of both altars (main and daily Mass); and some new corporals (the smaller white cloths that the chalice and paten are placed on top of during the offering of the Mass). The costs for these new cloths total $350. Again, thanks to the money raised through the Memorial Fund, we are able to buy items for the Church and for use during the offering of the Mass.
Thank you one and all for remembering to support the St. Bridget Memorial Fund. Your support is greatly appreciated.
What is the St. Bridget Memorial Fund? Donated funds in memory of your deceased loved ones are used to purchase things for the Church (i.e. Ciboria used to distribute and reserve the Blessed Sacrament, purchase the Sanctuary Railings) renovate, refurbish, and repair areas in the Church. Your deceased loved ones names are enrolled in the parish’s prayer for the deceased. This prayer includes a monthly Mass for the happy repose of the souls of those deceased persons as well as the weekly Sunday celebration of the Mass with a remembrance in the General Intercessions. Annually, those enrolled are prayed for in yearly marking of November as the month of the Holy Souls.
